Collective Liberation Tee

THE FUTURE IS COLLECTIVE LIBERATION - A collab with Slow Factory

In the summer of 2024 we released THE FUTURE IS COLLECTIVE LIBERATION tee with the Slow Factory. With the belief that supporting humanity involves building a better future, 100% of proceeds from this project fund Slow's work in organizing for collective liberation.

Since 2012, Slow Factory has been creating cultures and systems that center collective liberation. Working at the intersection of climate justice and human rights, Slow Factory platforms the lived experiences and Indigenous wisdom of the Global Majority. Slow Factory uses open access to education (via their award winning Open Edu program), systems design, and media justice to shift culture for collective liberation.

We photographed the tee on activists, artists, writers, designers, journalists, actors, organizers, healers and dreamers. Below are some of the wishes they have for collective liberation.

What will Collective Liberation look like?

Morgan Lynzi (Storyteller bridging pleasure and progress): A world rooted in curiosity, conversation, and connection.

How does it feel?

Constanza Eliana Chinea (Boricua Journalist, Producer, Activist): I believe Collective Liberation will feel like being safe no matter where you are or who you are with.

What does Collective Liberation taste like?

Maya Abdallah (Actress, Screenwriter, Activist): It tastes like my first bite of shawarma in liberated Palestine, Al Quds.

How does it smell?

Serita Colette (Malayali-American Educator and Artist): Like the earth in a season of change.

What is the sound of Collective Liberation?

Lara Salmon (Performance Artist and FYVP co-founder): Si
lent but for our heartbeats.
