Little Souk

Presented by FYVP and Between East, Little Souk was a two time event in Los Angeles, California. This modern marketplace showcased Middle Eastern and North African vendors selling art, food, books, apparel, jewelry and more. A celebration of MENA culture, the atmosphere of Little Souk was marked by DJ sets and live performances. Every sale raised funds for Anera.

Vanessa dreamed up the idea for Little Souk after returning from Beirut in 2022. Inspired by the Lebanese souks, and not having grown up in connection to her Palestinian roots, she wanted to find and foster community in LA. In January of 2023 she reached out to Lena Khouri of Between East about the possibility of creating a marketplace for Palestine. A few weeks later FYVP and Between East held the first ever Little Souk at a donated space in downtown LA. A second Little Souk was held in June of 2023.
